CAUTION:
CAUTION:Make sure that the two guide sleeves are installed.
  1. Refer to: Health and Safety Precautions (100-00 General Information, Description and Operation).
  1. Coat the input shaft splines with a thin coating of grease.
    Material: High-Temperature Grease

  1. General Equipment: Transmission jack

  1. Perform this and the following operation simultaneously.
    Torque: 48 Nm

  1. Torque: 48 Nm

  1. Torque: 48 Nm

  1. Remove the transmission jack.

  1. Torque: 80 Nm

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure that a new bolt is installed.
    Torque: 133 Nm

  1.  
    1. Torque: 48 Nm
    1. Torque: 25 Nm
  1. Refer to: Clutch System Bleeding (308-00 Manual Transmission/Transaxle and Clutch - General Information, General Procedures).

  1.  
    1. Torque: 48 Nm
    1. Torque: 40 Nm

  1. Remove the Special Tool(s): 303-290B, 303-290-13, 303-290A-15, 303-290B-16
  1. Install the catalytic converter.
    Refer to: Catalytic Converter (309-00E Exhaust System - 2.0L Duratorq-TDCi (DW) Diesel, Removal and Installation).

  1.  
    1. Torque: 10 Nm
    1. Torque: 10 Nm
  1. Install the following items:
    1. Driveshafts
      Refer to: Front Halfshaft LH (205-04 Front Drive Halfshafts, Removal and Installation).
      Refer to: Front Halfshaft RH (205-04 Front Drive Halfshafts, Removal and Installation).
    1. Subframe
      Refer to: Front Subframe (502-00 Uni-Body, Subframe and Mounting System, Removal and Installation).

  1.  
    1. Torque: 25 Nm
    1. Torque: 80 Nm

  1. Adjust the selector cable.
    Refer to: Gearshift Cable Adjustment - Vehicles With: 6-Speed Manual Transmission (MMT6) (308-00 Manual Transmission/Transaxle and Clutch - General Information, General Procedures).

  1. Torque: 25 Nm

  1. Torque: 10 Nm
  1. Install the following items:
    1. Battery
      Refer to: Battery (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Removal and Installation).
    1. Air filter
      Refer to: Air Cleaner (303-12D Intake Air Distribution and Filtering - 1.8L Duratorq-TDCi (Lynx) Diesel, Removal and Installation).

  1. Check the transmission fluid fill level.
    Refer to: Transmission Draining and Filling (308-03C Manual Transmission/Transaxle - Vehicles With: 6-Speed Manual Transmission (MMT6), General Procedures).

  1. Initialize the window regulator motors.
    Refer to: Door Window Motor Initialization (501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms, General Procedures).
