Using a suitable length of fuel resistant tube, drain the fuel filter. Torque: 2 Nm | | -
CAUTION:Make sure that all openings are sealed. Use new blanking caps. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling (310-00 Fuel System - General Information, General Procedures). | Installation | -
Discard the blanking caps. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling (310-00 Fuel System - General Information, General Procedures). Torque: 20 Nm | | -
Connect the Special Tool to the Schraeder valve. -
Connect the fuel tank draining equipment to the Special Tool and open the tap on the Special Tool by rotating it clockwise. | | -
Operate the fuel tank draining equipment until no large air bubbles are visible in the fuel pump fuel supply line. | | -
Close the tap on the Special Tool by rotating it counterclockwise. -
Remove the fuel tank draining equipment. -
Remove the Special Tool(s): 310-042 | | -
CAUTION:The starter motor operation must not exceed 10 seconds at a time. After 10 seconds turn the ignition switch to position 0 and allow the starter motor to cool for 30 seconds before operating the starter motor again. Start the engine and allow it to idle until it reaches normal operating temperature. | | |
