Clean the fuel filter, fuel supply lines and surrounding areas. Refer to: Fuel Injection Component Cleaning (303-04C, General Procedures). | | -
CAUTION:Make sure that all openings are sealed. Use new blanking caps. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling (310-00, General Procedures). | Installation | -
NOTE:Make sure that the installation marks are aligned. | | -
Using a suitable length of fuel resistant tube. | | -
Discard the blanking caps. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling (310-00, General Procedures). | | -
Loosen the fuel filter bleed screw (special tool shown removed for clarity). | | -
Operate the hand pressure pump at least 30 times. | | -
Tighten the fuel filter bleed screw finger tight (special tool shown removed for clarity). | | -
Remove the length of fuel resistant tube and fluid container (special tool shown removed for clarity). | | -
Operate the hand pressure pump a further 30 times to prime the fuel pump. | | -
CAUTION:The starter motor operation must not exceed 10 seconds at a time. After 10 seconds turn the ignition switch to position 0 and allow the starter motor to cool for 30 seconds before operating the starter motor again. Start the engine and allow it to idle until it reaches normal operating temperature. | | -
