LINCOLN-MERCURY 1985 CAPRI

Removal and installation - Mustang/Capri - body side hinge-pin. In the service procedure test, steps 5, 6, 7 & 8 are out of sequence. It is necessary to
break the hinge pin before removal. Insert the following steps to correct the current published procedure.

Break the upper hinge pin in half, using bolt cutter or similar tool (hammer and chisel, if necessary) for easier removal.

6.

Remove upper hinge pin pieces.

7.

Break the lower hinge pin in half, using bolt cutters or similar tool (hammer and chisel, if necessary) for easier removal.

8.

Remove lower hinge pin pieces.
