Starting System - Starter Motor Puma 1998 (06/1997-12/2001)
Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.

  1. Disconnect the cooling fan electrical connectors.

  1. Remove the fan and shroud assembly.

  1. Disconnect the starter motor wiring.
    • Remove the two nuts

  1. Remove the starter motor mounting bracket.
    • Remove bolt
    • Remove the two nuts

  1. Remove the starter motor.
    • Remove the three bolts

Installation
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
