Removal and Installation

Removal
  1. Remove the bezel.
    • Release the clip and slide the bezel rearward to remove.
  1. Remove the front door trim panel. For additional information, refer to Section  501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Using a plastic knife, cut through the butyl strip to enable the protective watershield to be removed from the door. Do not attempt to peel the watershield from the door without cutting the butyl strip.
    Detach the door watershield.

  1. Cut the cable tie.

  1. Disconnect the rear view door mirror electrical connector.

  1. Remove the foam packing.

  1. Remove the mirror retaining screws.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Note the wiring harness routing.
    Remove the rear view mirror.
    1. Remove the three Torx retaining screws.
      NOTE:
      NOTE:Note the position of the gaskets.
    1. Remove the rear view mirror.

Installation

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure the gaskets are correctly positioned.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
