6. Lower the driveshaft and separate it from the transmission.
NOTE: The following steps are for driveshaft boot service.
7. NOTE: Install a new driveshaft boot, if necessary.
Index mark the driveshaft of both sides of the boot.
8. Cut and discard the driveshaft boot clamps.
9. Separate the driveshaft end.
10. Remove and discard the damaged boot.
11. Position the new clamp on the female end of the shaft.
12. Slide the new boot on the female shaft as shown.
13. Position the second boot clamp on the male end of the shaft.
14. Align the index marks and bleed air from the slip joint boot.
15. Crimp the slip boot clamps with commercially available crimp pliers.
