Acceleration/Deceleration Sensor: Description and Operation
PURPOSE
This G-Switch is used to determine the vehicle's deceleration rate.
OPERATION
A component that is unique to the Ford light truck 4-Wheel ABS is the G-Switch, located where the Rear ABS valve used to be. The deceleration
rate information, combined with signals from the wheel speed sensors, is used by the ECU to adjust ABS function to different operating
conditions.
