Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the hydraulic control unit (HCU).
    Refer to: Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) (206-09A Anti-Lock Control, Removal and Installation).

  1. Clean the HCU contact surface.
    Material: Cleaner
  1. Remove all traces of the cleaner and foreign material.
    General Equipment: Pneumatic vacuum gun

Installation
  1. WARNING:
    WARNING:Make sure that the module is correctly located on the hydraulic control unit (HCU).
    WARNING:
    WARNING:A new seal is required again once the seal has touched the mating faces and the component is then removed and installed again.
    CAUTION:
    CAUTION:If accidentally dropped or knocked install a new module.
    CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Take extra care not to damage the seal.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure that the seal is correctly located.
    Torque:
    Stage 1:
    0.5 Nm
    Stage 2:
    1.0 Nm
    Stage 3:
    1.5 Nm
    Stage 4:
    2.0 Nm
    Stage 5:
    2.5 Nm
  1. Install the HCU.
    Refer to: Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) (206-09A Anti-Lock Control, Removal and Installation).
  1. Configure the stability assist program.
    General Equipment: Worldwide Diagnostic System (WDS)
  1. Carry out the stability assist program Function Test.
    General Equipment: Worldwide Diagnostic System (WDS)
  1. Carry out a road test.
    Refer to: Road/Roller Testing (100-00 General Information, Description and Operation).
