Removal and Installation

General Equipment
Hose clamp remover/installer
Trolley jack

Removal

NOTE:
NOTE:Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove the right-hand head lamp unit.
    Refer to: Scheinwerfer (417-01 Außenbeleuchtung, Removal and Installation).

  1. Remove the air cleaner.
    Refer to: Luftfilter (303-12A Ansaugsystem - 2.0L Duratec-HE (MI4), Removal and Installation).
  1. Disconnect the battery.
    Refer to: Batterie abklemmen (414-01 Batterie, Befestigung und Batteriekabel, General Procedures).
  1. Raise the vehicle for access
    Refer to: Anheben mit Wagenheber (100-02 Fahrzeug anheben, Description and Operation).
    Refer to: Anheben mit Hebebühne (100-02 Fahrzeug anheben, Description and Operation).

    1. Torque: 18 Nm
    1. Torque: 47 Nm

  1.  
    1. Torque: 48 Nm
    1. Torque: 80 Nm
  1. Lower the vehicle.

  1.  
    • Torque: 10 Nm

  1. General Equipment: Trolley jack

  1. Torque:
    Bolts - front engine mounting 80 Nm
    Nuts - front engine mounting 90 Nm

  1. General Equipment: Hose clamp remover/installer
    Torque: 18 Nm

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:During initialisation the pedals must be in the rest position.
    Turn the ignition key to position II and then wait one minute in order to initialise the throttle valve.
  1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
