Mounting table set
  1. WARNING:
    WARNING:Make sure that the engine and transmission assembly is on wooden blocks and secured with suitable retaining straps.
    General Equipment: Mounting table set

  1. Remove the Special Tool(s): 303-122

  1. Torque: 48 Nm

  1. Torque: 48 Nm

  1.  
    1. Torque: 48 Nm
    1. Torque: 9 Nm

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure that no components catch.
    Lower the vehicle until the engine mounts are free from load.
    Refer to: Lifting (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).

  1. Loosen: 2 turn(s)

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure that a new component is installed.
    Torque: 133 Nm

  1. Torque: 12 Nm

  1.  
    1. Torque: 80 Nm
    1. NOTE:
      NOTE:Only tighten the bolt finger tight at this stage.
  1. Remove the following items:

  1. Torque: 80 Nm

  1. Torque: 80 Nm

  1. Torque: 110 Nm
  1. Refer to: Starter Motor (303-06B Starting System - 2.5L Duratec (VI5), Removal and Installation).

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Gearshift cables must not be kinked or bent.

  1. General Equipment: Hose clamp remover/installer

  1. Torque: 10 Nm

  1. Torque: 25 Nm

  1. Torque: 25 Nm

  1. Torque: 25 Nm

  1. Torque: 25 Nm

  1. Torque: 20 Nm

  1. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling (310-00 Fuel System - General Information, General Procedures).

  1. Torque: 30 Nm
  1. Install the following items:
    1. Refer to: Accessory Drive Belt (303-05B Accessory Drive - 2.5L Duratec (VI5), Removal and Installation).
    1. Refer to: Front Halfshaft LH (205-04 Front Drive Halfshafts, Removal and Installation).
    1. Refer to: Front Halfshaft RH (205-04 Front Drive Halfshafts, Removal and Installation).
    1. Refer to: Front Subframe (502-00 Uni-Body, Subframe and Mounting System, Removal and Installation).

  1. Torque: 20 Nm

  1. Torque: 10 Nm

  1. Torque: 20 Nm

  1. Torque: 10 Nm

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure that the inside of the pipe ends are clean and free of oil residue.

  1. Torque: 12 Nm

  1. Torque: 12 Nm
  1. Install the following items:
    1. Refer to: Battery (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Removal and Installation).
    1. Refer to: Air Cleaner (303-12B Intake Air Distribution and Filtering - 2.5L Duratec (VI5), Removal and Installation).
  1. Refer to: Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding (303-03B Engine Cooling - 2.5L Duratec (VI5), General Procedures).
  1. Refer to: Clutch System Bleeding (308-00 Manual Transmission/Transaxle and Clutch - General Information, General Procedures).
