Removal

General Equipment
Hose clamp remover/installer
Mounting table set
  1. Remove the following items:
    1. Air Cleaner
      Refer to: Air Cleaner (303-12C Intake Air Distribution and Filtering - 1.8L Duratorq-TDCi (Lynx) Diesel, Removal and Installation).
    1. Battery
      Refer to: Battery (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Removal and Installation).
    1. Cowl Panel Grille
      Refer to: Cowl Panel Grille (501-02 Front End Body Panels, Removal and Installation).
    1. Charge Air Cooler
      Refer to: Charge Air Cooler (303-12C Intake Air Distribution and Filtering - 1.8L Duratorq-TDCi (Lynx) Diesel, Removal and Installation).
    1. Radiator
      Refer to: Radiator (303-03A Engine Cooling - 2.0L Duratec-HE (MI4)/2.3L Duratec-HE (MI4), Removal and Installation).

  1. General Equipment: Hose clamp remover/installer

  1. General Equipment: Hose clamp remover/installer

  1. Remove the following items:
    1. Catalytic Converter.
      Refer to: Catalytic Converter (309-00D Exhaust System - 2.0L Duratorq-TDCi (DW) Diesel, Removal and Installation).
    1. Front Drive Halfshafts
      Refer to: Front Halfshaft LH (205-04, Removal and Installation).
      Refer to: Front Halfshaft RH (205-04, Removal and Installation).
    1. Front Subframe.
      Refer to: Front Subframe (502-00 Uni-Body, Subframe and Mounting System, Removal and Installation).

  1. Detach the air conditioning (A/C) compressor and secure to one side.

  1. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling (310-00 Fuel System - General Information, General Procedures).

  1. General Equipment: Mounting table set
