Drain the fuel tank. Refer to: Fuel Tank Draining (310-00 Fuel System - General Information, General Procedures). | | -
Remove the rear wheels and tires. Refer to: Wheel and Tire (204-04 Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation). | | -
NOTE:Note the orientation of the clamp to aid installation. Discard the fuel tank filler pipe clamp. | | -
Carefully pull down the exhaust pipe center heat shield, to remove the fuel tank heat shield. Torque: 5 Nm | | -
