Sensor - Throttle Position - Remove and Install (23 325 0)

Scorpio 1995 (10/1994-06/1998)

Removal and Installation

Remove

1. Disconnect the battery earth lead.

CAUTION:

Do not pull on the wiring; pull on the multiplug body.

2. Disconnect the IAT sensor multiplug.

3. Slacken the clip and disconnect the intake hose.

4. Unscrew the accelerator cable bracket retaining bolts.

5. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle body.

6. Disconnect the vacuum hose.

CAUTION:

Do not pull on the wiring; pull on the multiplug body.

7. Disconnect the TP sensor multiplug.

8. Unscrew the throttle body retaining bolts.

9. Remove the throttle body.

10. Unscrew the TP sensor retaining bolts.

11. Remove the TP sensor.

Install

12. Refit the components in reverse order.

Ensure that the sensor is correctly located on the throttle plate shaft.
