It has two unidirection-al communication lines between thePCM and the generator/regulator. Linesare pulse–width modulated. (GEN COM)line communicates the desired setpointfrom the PCM to the voltage regulatorand the generator monitor (GEN MON)line communicates the generator loadand error conditions to the PCM. Thethird pin on the voltage regulator, the Acircuit pin, is a dedicated battery voltagesense line.13–1
