Procure locally a 9 x 12 inch piece of 1/4 inch mesh hardware cloth. Then, cut the hardware cloth to the size and shape shown in Figure 3 (shown
in the center page of this bulletin).

Fold down along lines 1 and 2 and place the hardware cloth over the cowl air intake opening with fold line 1 toward the rear of the vehicle and
fold line 2 toward the center of the vehicle. Then, fold the remaining sides and corners of the hardware cloth down and around the air intake
opening as tight against the flange as possible.
