ISSUE:
Some A/C discharge lines may have been manufactured with an inadequate crimp and may leak during normal vehicle operation.
ACTION:
Remove and return the obsolete parts from your dealership's inventory. The obsolete parts should be withdrawn from your inventory and returned to your
facing PDC within 30 days of this TSB.
1.
Perform 100% sort of all stock.
2.
Stock with a packaging date code prior to 12-6-93 should be returned. Date code is located on the unit carton part nomenclature panel.
3.
Retain stock with a packaging date code after 12-6-93.
4.
Return obsolete parts (refer to chart for part numbers) to your facing PDC using the least expensive transportation.
5.
If claim is processed electronically via DOES 11, use return code "GB"; otherwise, complete a separate paper claim form FPS-340 using return
code "J".
6.
In the Remarks Section write "Returned per TSB 94-13-9".
