Drain Plug - Radiator - Renew (24 256 0)

Removal and Installation

Hose clip pliers

Remove

1. Raise the vehicle.

2. Remove the engine undershield (if fitted).

3. Drain the cooling system (refer to Operation Number 24 122 0).

4. Remove the drain plug.

1. Completely unscrew the drain plug.

2. Remove the drain plug from the radiator and discard.

5. Using suitable long nose pliers squeeze the sides of the retainer body and remove it from the radiator and discard.

Install

NOTE:

The drain plug assembly cannot be installed if the plug stem is screwed tight into the retainer body.

6. Push a new loosely assembled drain plug into the radiator until it clicks into position.

7. Tighten the radiator drain plug.

8. Refill the cooling system (refer to Operation Number 24 122 0).

9. Refit the engine lower undershield (if fitted).
