Removal and Installation
Remove

CAUTION:

Disconnect the battery negative lead.

1. Remove the powertrain control module boot retaining nuts.

CAUTION:

Take care not to strain the multiplug wiring.
2. Carefully pull back the powertrain control module boot.
3. Release the powertrain control module multiplug locking feature.

CAUTION:

When disconnecting multiplugs do not pull on the wiring: pull on the multiplug body.
4. Disconnect the powertrain control module multiplug.

5. Prise out the stowage tray.
   Use a pad between the screwdriver and surround to prevent damage.

6. Remove the powertrain control module and retaining bracket assembly.
1. Remove the retaining screw.
2. Remove the powertrain control module and retaining bracket assembly.

7. Remove the powertrain control module from the retaining bracket.
Install

CAUTION:

Ensure the powertrain control module multiplug is refitted correctly to avoid damage to the module pins.
8. Refit the components in the reverse order.
