Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the exhaust manifold to EGR valve tube.
    For additional information, refer to Exhaust Manifold to Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Tube in this section.

  1. Disconnect the vacuum line from the EGR valve.

  1. Remove the EGR valve and support bracket assembly (EGR valve and support bracket assembly shown removed for clarity).

  1. Remove the EGR valve.
    • Discard the gasket.

Installation

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Install a new EGR valve gasket.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
