| Removal and Installation General Equipment Removal | | -
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to: Lifting (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation). | | | -
Using a suitable knife, cut and remove both accessory drive belts. | Installation NOTE:Make sure that new components are installed. | | -
Install the accessory drive belt around the generator pulley. Install the belt guide tool (supplied in the parts kit) to the accessory drive belt and onto the generator web casting. | | | -
Install the installation tool (supplied in the parts kit) to the crankshaft pulley. | | | -
Push the installation tool (supplied in the parts kit) to the 8 o'clock position with the accessory drive belt installed around the installation tool. Make sure that the accessory drive belt is located correctly into the grooves on the crankshaft pulley. | | | -
CAUTION:Only rotate the crankshaft clockwise. Rotate the crankshaft pulley. | | | -
Remove the installation tool and the belt guide tool. | | | -
CAUTION:Only rotate the crankshaft clockwise. Rotate the crankshaft through 360°. | | | -
Check that the accessory drive belt is correctly positioned in the grooves of the pulleys. -
Repeat the installation procedure if the accessory drive belt is misaligned. | | | -
Install a new power steering pump belt. Refer to: Power Steering Pump Belt - 2.2L Duratorq-TDCi (Puma) Diesel (303-05, Removal and Installation). | | |
