Parking Brake Cable: Service and Repair
Tension Resetting
1. Reconnect the parking brake cables to the parking brake cable bracket.
2. While holding down the tension arm, remove the self-adjusting spring lock-out pin from the hole in the parking brake control, being careful to
keep fingers out of the way. This restores the tension to the cables.
WARNING: Keep fingers out of the way of the ratchet wheel when removing spring lock-out pin to prevent injury.
3. Apply and release the parking brake several times to set cable tension.
