LIGHT TRUCK:
1995 WINDSTAR
ISSUE:
Customers may hear a "rattle" coming from under the dash during some drive conditions. This is caused by an internal safing sensor in the Air Bag
Diagnostic Monitor, which is under the instrument cluster.
ACTION:
Install a new Air Bag Monitor Insulator Wrap on the air bag monitor. The insulator will reduce the noise ("rattle") from the monitor. Refer to the
following procedure for service details.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Remove the Air Bag Diagnostic Monitor as outlined in the 1995 Windstar Service Manual, Pages 01-20B-86 and 01-20B-87.
