Canister Vent Valve: Service and Repair
EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) CANISTER VENT SOLENOID VALVE REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister vent solenoid valve (4).
3. Disconnect the EVAP canister vent solenoid valve (4) from the EVAP canister (5).
4. Disengage the bracket retaining tab and remove the EVAP canister vent solenoid valve (4).
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Slide the EVAP canister vent solenoid valve (4) over the bracket. Ensure the valve (4) is properly retained to the bracket.
2. Connect the EVAP canister vent solenoid valve (4) to the EVAP canister (5).
3. Connect the electrical connector to the EVAP canister vent solenoid valve (4).
4. Lower the vehicle.
