Some 1988-90 C/K pickups may experience a broken exterior door handle after extended use. This could result in the handle becoming disconnected
from the latch push rod and therefore the door could not be opened from the outside. This condition was caused by insufficient material in the door
handle to withstand the additional forces required to open the door after the mechanism had been contaminated with dirt, ice or debris. In order to repair
this condition, a new design door handle has been released.

Several running changes were previously incorporated into the door handle design prior to changing the part number The new (latest) design was
produced for a period of time under the previous part number, prior to changing to the new part numbers listed below.
