1982-1983 THM 700-R4
Some 1982 and 1983 THM 700-R4 transmissions may exhibit an oil leak at the transmission case to transfer case adapter area on some four wheel drive
vehicles. This oil leak may be caused by a lack of compression of the "O" ring seal used on the transfer case adapter.
When servicing any 1982 or 1983 four wheel drive vehicle equipped with a THM 700-R4 transmission for an oil leak at the transmission to transfer case
adapter area, install two "O" rings, part number 1358899, on the transfer case adapter to correct the oil leak.
