Savana 1/2 Ton Van V8-5.7L VIN R (2001)
1. Install the oil level indicator tube to the engine block.
2. Install the spark plug for the number 4 cylinder.
3. Apply sealant, GM P/N 12346004 or equivalent, to the end of the oil level indicator tube top half.
4. Install the oil level indicator tube top half to the bottom half.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
5. Secure the engine oil level indicator tube to the transmission oil level indicator tube with the bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 13 Nm (106 inch lbs.).
6. Install the engine cover.
7. Install the air cleaner assembly.
