15. Install the oil pump driven gear.
16. Install the oil pump driven gear nut.

Tighten the nut to 100 N.m (74 lb ft).

17. Install the engine front cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover Replacement  (See: Timing Components/Timing Cover/Service and Repair) .

18. Remove the J 44643  .
19. Install the starter. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement (4.3L)  Starter Motor Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L)  Starter Motor Replacement

(6.6L)   .

20. Install the valve lifters. Refer to Valve Lifter Replacement  (See: Lifter / Lash Adjuster/Service and Repair) .
