Wiper Arm Replacement

WIPER ARM REPLACEMENT

TOOLS REQUIRED

J 39822 Wiper Arm Puller

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Set the wipers in the Park position.
2. Disconnect the washer hose elbow from the air inlet grille panel.
3. Remove the cover from the nut on the wiper arm.
4. Remove the nut from the wiper arm.

5. IMPORTANT:  If rocking the wiper arm fails to loosen the arm from the drive shaft, use a J 39822 or a battery terminal puller to remove the

wiper arm

Rock the wiper arm back and forth to loosen arm from the drive shaft.

6. Remove the wiper arm from the drive shaft.
7. Remove the wiper blade from the wiper arm.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Install the wiper blade onto the wiper arm.

2. IMPORTANT:  Do not interchange the LH and RH wiper arms.

The wiper arms are stamped with LH and RH.

Install the wiper arm onto the drive shaft while aligning the center of the wiper blade to the black locator dots (3) on the lower center windshield
(2).

3. NOTE:  Refer to Fastener Notice.

Install the nut on the wiper arm.Hold the wiper arm near the air inlet grille while tightening the nut.
