Synchronizer Hub: Service and Repair
Shift Fork to Synchro Sleeve Clearance

1. Check clearance between each shift fork and its matching synchro sleeve.

Standard: 0.25 - 0.45 mm (0.0098 - 0.0177 in.) 
Service Limit: 0.8 mm (0.0315 in.)

2. If the clearance exceeds the service limit, measure the thickness of the shift fork fingers.
3. Replace the part that is out of tolerance. If it is the sleeve, the hub must also be replaced.
