About the CRX
The CRX was a small sports coupe made from 1983 to 1991 and sold as part of the Civic range; nearly 400,000 were built. In North America it was a two-seater, sold in economy and sport versions, and from 1985 the economy model was the HF ("high fuel"). It was redesigned for the 1988 model year and replaced by the del Sol.
What these manuals cover
- 1984–1987 (first generation): the 1.3-litre four, the 1.5-litre 12-valve four with a carburettor, and the fuel-injected 1.5 (D15A3).
- 1988–1989 (second generation): the DX's 1.5-litre (D15B2), the HF's 1.5 (D15B6) and the Si's 1.6-litre (D16A6).
Tip: the CRX shares its engines with the Civic of the same years, such as the 1.6-litre D16A6 of the Civic Si.
