Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice See: Service Precautions .
3. Tighten the bolts (1) retaining the liftgate to the hinge.
Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

To adjust the liftgate inward or outward, remove the rear upper garnish molding trim. Refer to Rear Upper Garnish Molding Replacement (See:
Interior Moulding / Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Rear Upper Garnish Molding Replacement) .
5. Slightly loosen the bolts retaining the hinge to the vehicle.
6. Adjust the liftgate (1) to roof (2) gap (A) to 13 mm (0.51 in).
7. Tighten the bolts (1) retaining the hinge to the vehicle.
Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
8. Install the rear upper garnish molding trim. Refer to Rear Upper Garnish Molding Replacement (See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Trim
Panel/Service and Repair/Rear Upper Garnish Molding Replacement) .
9. Operate the liftgate to inspect for proper operation.
