8. Remove the oil filter using a suitable wrench.

Allow the engine oil to drain to the oil filter drain deflector and into the container.

Installation Procedure

1. Lubricate the oil filter seal with clean engine oil.

Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice.

2. Install a NEW oil filter.

Tighten the filter to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

3. Wipe the excess oil from the oil filter drain deflector.

4. Install the oil pan drain plug.
