Engine Oil: Service and Repair

SELECTION OF ENGINE OIL 

Recommended API classification: SH OR ABOVE SO Recommended SAE viscosity grades:

NOTE: For best performance and maximum protection of all types of operation, select only those lubricants which:

1. Satisfy the requirements of the API classification. 
2. Have proper SAE grade number for expected ambient temperature range.
3. Lubricant that does not have both an SAE grade number and an API service classification on the container should not be used.

CHANGING ENGINE OIL 

CAUTION: Be careful not to burn yourself, as the engine oil is hot.

1. Run the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature.
2. Turn off the engine
