Power Steering Pressure Switch: Description and Operation
Power Steering Pressure Switch
PURPOSE/OPERATION
The power steering oil pressure switch senses the power steering load and sends a low/high voltage signal to the engine control module, which
then controls the idle speed control motor based on this signal. The engine control module uses this information for idle speed control. When
pump output pressure exceeds a preset level, the switch closes, completing the circuit to ground.
