This TSB has been revised in step 3. If the catalytic converter is produced by SEJONG you need to proceed to step 5.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1.
First confirm that the 10th digit of the vehicle's VIN is an N. Now confirm that the vehicle is California emissions equipped by checking the
underhood emission sticker.
2.
Lift the vehicle and identify the catalytic converter's manufacturer as shown in the illustration.
3.
If the catalytic converter is manufactured by SEJONG (five holes), replacement is not necessary (proceed to step 5). If the vehicle is equipped with
an ARVIN (one hole) catalytic converter, it must be replaced.
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION PROCEDURES

With the vehicle in the air, remove the catalytic converter. Install a new converter with new gaskets and nuts. Torque the nuts to the specifications.
5.
An authorized Modifications Label will need to be applied to the under side of the hood. Wipe the surface clean before applying the new label.
6.
On the Authorized Modifications Label, you will need to write in the following information:
CHANGE AUTHORITY: 027
DEALER CODE: YOUR DEALER CODE
REPAIR DATE: THE DATE OF THE REPAIR
