CALIFORNIA SPECIFICATION OXYGEN SENSOR REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE
DESCRIPTION:
This bulletin describes the procedure for the replacement of the oxygen sensor on 1992 Model California specification Sonatas and Elantras equipped
with four cylinder engines.
SERVICE PROCEDURES:
1.
Check the vehicle to see if the oxygen sensor has been replaced previously.
A.
If the oxygen sensor has been replaced:
Go to step 9.
B.
If the oxygen sensor has not been replaced:
Go to Step 2.
2.
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Note:
Record the customer's radio stations before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
3.
Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector from the engine wiring harness.
4.
Raise the vehicle.
5.
Remove the oxygen sensor.
