Front Door Hinge: Service and Repair
Removal Procedure
CAUTION: Before removing the spring, cover the spring with a towel to prevent the spring from flying and possibly causing damage or personal
injury.
Tools Required
J 36604 Door Hinge Spring Compressor
1. Use J 36604 in order to remove the door hinge spring.
2. Remove the C-clip that retains the door hinge roller pin.
3. Remove the door hinge roller pin from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the door hinge roller pin to the vehicle.
2. Install the C-clip that retains the door hinge roller pin.
3. Use the J 36604 in order to install the door hinge spring.
