Idler Pulley: Service and Repair

Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement (Without A/C)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive belt; Service and Repair.

See: Drive Belt/Service and Repair

2. Remove the idler pulley bolt.
3. Remove the idler pulley from the power steering pump mounting bracket.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the idler pulley and the bolt to the power steering pump mounting bracket.

Tighten the bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

2. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive belt; Service and Repair.

Drive belt Idler Pulley Replacement (Right) Removal Procedure

1. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive belt; Service and Repair.
2. Remove the drive belt idler pulley bolt.
3. Remove the drive belt idler pulley.
