With A/C
A constant air rush noise is typical of high speed blower operation. Some systems and modes may be noisier than other systems and modes. If possible,
inspect another similar vehicle in order to determine whether the noise is typical or excessive.
1. Sit in the vehicle. Close the vehicle doors and the windows.
2. Turn ON the ignition. Do not turn ON the engine.
3. Operate the blower at HI speed.
4. Set the temperature for maximum cooling.
5. Cycle through the blower speeds, modes and temperature settings in order to find where the noise does not occur.
Determine the type of noise:

The noise is constant but decreases with blower speed reduction.
The following noises are typical of this condition:

Whine
-
Tick or click
-
Flutter
-
Scrape
-
The noise occurs only at starting or is intermittent.
This noise may occur at cold ambient temperatures or during low blower speeds. Noises typical of this condition are a squeal or a screech.
The noise is constant at high blower speeds in certain modes, but the noise can be eliminated during lower blower speeds in other modes.
Noises typical of this condition are a flutter or a rumble.
6. If the noise persists, remove the blower assembly.
Inspect the assembly for obstructions that may cause noise. Remove any obstruction.
7. Replace the blower assembly if you do not find any obstructions but you can still hear the noise.
