Wheels: Description and Operation

Wheels Description

Replace any wheel when the following conditions apply:
-

A bent wheel

-

A dented wheel

-

Wheels with excessive lateral or radial runout

-

The welds leak air

-

Elongated bolt holes

-

The wheel nuts will not stay tight

Wheels with runout greater than specified may cause objectionable vibrations.

Wheel Repair Description

Do not use heating, welding, or peening to repair wheels. These methods are not approved. Do not use inner tubes to repair leaky wheels or tires. If a
wheel is found to be leaking and cannot be repaired, replace the wheel with a wheel of original equipment quality.
