Knee Diverter: Service and Repair
Knee Bolster Deflector Replacement - Left

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the left side of the instrument panel sound insulator. 
2. Remove the knee bolster.
3. Disable the SRS.
4. Remove the instrument panel accessory trim plate.
5. Remove the nuts that retain the knee deflector to the upper steering column bracket.

6. Remove the knee deflector from the studs.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the knee deflector to the studs.

NOTE:  Refer to Fastener Note in Service Precautions.

2. Install the nuts that retain the knee deflector to the steering column support. 

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Install the instrument panel accessory trim plate.
4. Enable the SRS. 
5. Install the knee bolster. 
6. Install the left side of the Instrument panel stand insulator.
