Hombre S Regular Cab 4WD V6-4.3L (1999)
2. Install the lower ball joint to the steering knuckle. Refer to Lower Ball Joint Replacement (4WD). See: Suspension/Ball Joint
3. Install the upper ball joint to the steering knuckle. Refer to Upper Ball Joint Replacement (4WD).
4. Install the tie rod end ball stud to the steering knuckle.
5. Install the outer tie rod ball stud nut.
Tighten
Tighten the outer tie rod ball stud nut to 53 N.m (39 lb ft).
6. Install a new cotter pin to the outer tie rod stud nut. Bend the pin ends against the nut flats.
7. Remove the hub and bearing assembly. Refer to Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement
