2. If you hear a pump whine or groan, start the engine and inspect the hoses for contact with the frame body or the engine.
If no contact is found, use either of the following methods in order to cool down the fluid and repressurize the system.

Normal cool down
1. Turn OFF the engine.
2. Allow the system to cool.
3. Install the reservoir cap.

Partial fluid replacement
1. Remove the fluid from the reservoir using a suction device.
2. Refill the reservoir with cool, clean fluid.
3. Install the reservoir cap.
3. After either cooling method, start the engine.
4. Allow the engine to reach operating temperature.
5. If the noise persists, remove and repair the power steering pump.
6. Repeat the bleeding procedure.
