Brake Caliper: Description and Operation
The caliper may use a single or dual piston. It is held in place by two mounting bolts. The caliper mounts to the steering knuckle in a way that allows it to
move laterally against the-rotor. The caliper is a one-piece casting with the inboard side containing the piston bore(s). A square-cut rubber seal fits in a
groove in each piston bore to provide a hydraulic seal between the piston and caliper bore.
