Brake Hose/Line: Service and Repair
Front Brake Hose Replacement
CAUTION: Always use double-walled steel brake pipe when replacing brake pipes. The use of any other pipe is not recommended and may cause brake
system failure. Carefully route and retain replacement brake pipes. Always use the correct fasteners and the original location for replacement brake pipes.
Failure to properly route and retain brake pipes may cause damage to the brake pipes and brake system failure.
Brake pipes that run parallel to each other must maintain a 6 mm (.25 inch) clearance.
Note: Clean All dirt, grease and other foreign material off the hose fittings at both ends.
Front Brake Hose
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Brake pipe fitting.
2. Retainer.
4. Bolt and gaskets.
5. Brake hose.
Attaching Front Brake Hose
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Brake hose. The hose must not be twisted.
2. Gaskets.
Note: Use new brass gaskets when installing the hose.
3. Bolt.

Tighten bolt to 44 Nm (32 ft. lbs.)
4. Retainer.
5. Brake pipe fitting.
