Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation
Remove or Disconnect
NOTE:

Brake fluid will damage electrical connections and painted surfaces. Use shop cloths, autable containers, and fender covers to prevent brake fluid
from contacting these areas. Always re-seal and wipe off brake fluid containers to prevent spills.

All vehicles are equipped with the EBC 310 4 wheel anti-lock brake system. The combination valve is attached to the Brake Pressure Modulator
Valve (BPMV) and is serviceable as a separate unit.
1. Brake pipes fittings from combination valve.

Plug the pipes to prevent the loss of fluid or the entrance of dirt.
2. Warning switch connector.
3. Nuts.
4. Combination valve.
Install or Connect
1. Combination valve.
2. Nuts.

Tighten nuts to 36 Nm (27 ft. lbs.).
3. Warning switch connector.
4. Brake pipe fittings.

Tighten pipe fittings to 29 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).
5. Bleed system. Refer to Hydraulic System Service and Repair.
