Parking Brake Cable: Service and Repair
Front

Front Cable And Lever

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. Raise vehicle and support with safety stands.
2. Right rear cable at equalizer.
3. Retainer. 
4. Retainer and grommet.
5. Cable from lever.
6. Front cable.

Front Cable

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Front cable.
2. Retainer and grommet.

All retaining fingers must be completely through the hole.

3. Cable to lever.
4. Retainer.
5. Right rear cable to equalizer and nut.
6. Lower the vehicle.

ADJUST

1. Block the front wheels.
2. Raise and support the rear axle with safety stands.
3. Loosen the equalizer nut.
4. Fully release the parking brake pedal. 
5. Tighten the equalizer nut until the rear wheels will not rotate without excessive force in a forward direction.
