Accumulator HVAC: Service and Repair
Evaporator and Accumulator Hose Assembly
Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notes.
2. Recover refrigerant from the system.
3. Evaporator and accumulator hose from evaporator.
4. O-rings seal.
5. Evaporator and accumulator hose from accumulator.
6. O-rings seal.

Cap or plug all open connections.
Install or Connect
1. New O-rings seal.

Coat O-rings seal with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
2. Evaporator and accumulator hose to accumulator.
Tighten
-
Hose to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).
3. New O-rings seal.

Coat O-rings seal with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
4. Evaporator and accumulator hose to evaporator.
Tighten
-
Hose to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).
5. Negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notes.
6. Refrigerant to the system.

Check the system for leaks.
