Generator: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Working through the wheel well, remove the generator rear brace from the engine.

-

Remove the generator brace to the engine block bolt.

-

Remove the generator brace to the intake manifold nuts.

3. Remove the accessory drive belt.
4. Disconnect the generator electrical connector.
5. Remove the BAT teed terminal nut.
6. Remove the BAT feed terminal wire.
7. Remove the generator mounting bolts.
8. Remove the generator from the vehicle.
